The roots of Apolina’s AW25 collection lie in traditional English village life, a rural mood inspired by the work of local artists; Edward Bawden, Eric Ravilious, and the Great Bardfield artists’ community of the 1930s–70s. With nature, colour and traditional English farming smocks as a starting point, the collection brings in a Swedish folk art letters influence, lending a layered scrapbook feel to the rural English references.

Tradition and craftsmanship meet a contemporary attitude to styling; patchwork skirts pair with chunky socks, retro prints layer over bespoke broderie anglaise, and intricate hand smocking is framed by naive embroidery motifs. Pops of bright jewel tones – poppy, retro green and Nordic blue – pair with Apolina’s signature natural palette, giving a modern eccentricity that allows more playful styling.
